A.Y. Jackson Studio

Built in 1955 by A.Y. Jackson, the interior of this 1,346 sq. ft., Bauhaus-inspired dwelling was totally re-designed by Irene in 3 weeks. The new design includes a custom catering-style kitchen and open concept en-suite/bedroom with walk-in closet.

Overseeing every detail of the 16 week renovation, Irene and her resulting ‘dream home studio’ have been featured in the Ottawa Citizen (September and December 2012), 2010 Ottawa Magazine Interiors Edition and 2007 Ottawa At Home magazine. Please see A.Y. Jackson Studio under Portfolio

“Designer Irene Staron has an affinity for nature. It’s what drew her to a modernist cube in the woods built by Group of Seven painter and fellow nature lover A.Y. Jackson. And it was the driving force behind a renovation of the combined studio and home she undertook after buying the property in 2006.’ The Ottawa Citizen, 2012
